Takke Musu Aikido

Welcome to the Takke Musu Aikido Dojo.

We offer traditional style Aikido training in a friendly environment.

Aikido is an effective self defence system as well as being a method of self improvement and ideal way of keeping fit.

Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art, which uses movement, control and  balance to give self-defence techniques which are non-aggressive but highly effective. It is particularly suitable for women, since it turns the attacker's own strength against him.

We focus on practical techniques that are suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness. Aikido is especially suitable for more mature people.

The name Takke Musu means ‘The spontaneous birth of perfect technique’. This is the ultimate goal of training – when you can transcend the learning and create truly effective methods of dealing with aggression.

The classes are run by Sensei David Luddington 4th Dan, Mike Higgins shodan and Sarah Luddington shodan, who are well-known as experienced martial arts teachers, holding black belts in Aikido, Aou Denkou Jutsu and Karate.
